It's purpose is to hunt down those souls condemned to Bane's realm upon their journey into the afterlife and gather them for sorting, and to mercilessly pursue and destroy those who attempt to escape Bane's Hell or those who dare draw Bane's wrath. As they are created by Bane, even though they are average so far as Settic are concerned, they are held in higher esteme than all Baatezu, Tanar'ri and other extraplanar entities that find themselves ensnared in the Demiplane of Power.
