Information
It is unknown if there are multiple Godsteeds or a singular entity - no more than one of these creatures has ever been seen at one time. Noncorporeal and appearing to be made of nothing more than golden light, shadowy darkness and licks of illusory flame, or billowing mists, the creature has no interest in any being of the physical, astral or ethereal world with the exception of wizards.

A servant of the Gods, the Godsteed appears before wizards when they attain level 5. It's purpose is to offer them transport to the tower of the God that has deemed them worthy of attempting to serve it, if they should choose to become a Wizard of the Gods. The Godsteed's form is reflective of which God has shown interest in the mage - the billowing misty cloud steed will appear if Calypsa has called, the shining golden light steed for Artalius, and the dark fiery horse if Bane issued the summons.

The steed has no other purpose than to carry the wizard to the appropriate God's Mage Tower for testing. Once it has completed its task, it vanishes.

If the mage chooses not to ride the steed, it will vanish. No other variation of the steed will ever visit the mage again.

While anyone around can see the steed when it appears before the selected wizard, none other than the wizard in question can interact with it. For all save that wizard, the Godsteed does not exist in any fashion other than visually.

Once the steed has either been rejected or has completed its task, it will never again visit the same wizard.

The Godsteed cannot be trapped, contained, snared or hindered in its task. It will without fail appear before its selected wizard within one day of that wizard's attainment of 5th level. The Godsteed leaves no footprints, has no scent and leaves no trace of its passing, even when carrying a wizard. Therefore, it can not be tracked to a God's Wizard Tower, keeping their locations shrouded in mystery.
